Authentic MSU
Housing wins international marketing awards
Morehead State’s Office of Student Housing earned two international marketing awards from the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I) Marketing Awards.
"Our office is incredibly proud of the recognition from ACUHO-I for these innovative marketing projects and creative designs,” said Alan Rucker, director of student housing and residence education. “Our fellow award winners are from some of the largest and most recognizable housing departments in the country and we are honored to ensure MSU is part of those groups."
The office was awarded first place in the specialty/promo category for light-up bracelets emblazoned with the motto “Carrying the Light/Leading the Way” given to student leaders in university housing. Housing was awarded third place in the large format piece category for the Office of Student Housing core values pillar wraps on display in the office, a collaborative effort with the Office of Student Housing, the Office of Communications and Marketing, and Document Services.
ACUHO-I is a professional organization for campus housing and residence life professionals with more than 17,000 members representing 3.2 million on-campus students from around the globe. The awards serve as an annual opportunity to recognize well-designed and innovative media for residence life and housing operations. These awards acknowledge ACUHO-I members and their departments for their accomplishments and creativity.
Rucker said the awards housing received wouldn’t have been possible without coordination between several offices on campus.
"These award wins showcase the incredible talent and collaboration that occurs at Morehead State to create an engaging, eye-popping, well-designed community,” Rucker said. “Our partners across campus help us to provide an exemplary community for our residents, and I'm thrilled to share in these honors with the Office of Communications and Marketing and Document Services."
