Graduating MSU seniors give back through donations to Graduating Class Scholarship
Each year, nearly 5,000 Morehead State University alumni donate to the MSU Foundation to support student scholarships. Several members of the graduating class of 2021 have already made their commitment to give back. These first-time donors each contributed $20.21 to support fellow Eagles through the Graduating Class Scholarship.
This fundraising project kicked off in March during I Heart MSU week hosted by the Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA). Throughout the week, SAA members promote the importance of private giving and the impact philanthropy has at MSU. Since then, nearly 60 graduates have made a gift, raising over $1,100 for the scholarship fund.
Many graduates made their gift in honor of someone influential in their MSU experience. These honorary gifts recognize the commitment of parents, grandparents, professors and advisors who impacted student’s endeavors at MSU. These donors will be highlighted on the Official Morehead State Alumni Association social media accounts during the upcoming weeks.
The Graduating Class Scholarship will support a member of the Class of 2021 who will be pursuing a graduate degree at MSU. Students interested in applying to this scholarship can access the application online at www.moreheadstate.edu/graduating-class-scholarship.
