MSU mourns death of retiree Denice Copher

Denice CopherMSU retiree Denice Copher, 67, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at the Pikeville Medical Center.

Born July 2, 1954, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Coyle and Betty Cummins Coyle. She worked at MSU for nearly 17 years and held the position of international student service specialist when she retired in 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Conner Copher; one son, Eric (Lashonda) Copher of Flemingsburg; one daughter, Kelli Copher of Ewing; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tracy Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery in Midland.
