Morehead State University celebrates Black History Month

Throughout February, multiple speakers, presentations, and activities are planned at Morehead State to celebrate Black History Month.

"This year, all of the programs for Black History Month encompass celebrating Black history and togetherness," said Jamie Phipps, assistant chief diversity officer for student activities. "COVID-19 has affected everyone but especially our minority communities, so we'd like to take this time to not only provide educational opportunities for students, faculty, staff and the community to learn about Black History, we also want to create spaces within these programs to gather, support and encourage all communities to contribute to working towards upholding the values celebrating Black History Month represents.
