MSU named Gold-level Military Friendly® School for 2022-23

This year, Morehead State University received even greater recognition for its service to veterans and active military students.

MSU has been named a Gold-level Military Friendly School® for 2022-23. Previously, the University received a Bronze-level ranking for three consecutive years.

Viqtory Media, originator of the family of Military Friendly employment, entrepreneurship and education resources for veterans and their families, published the 2022-23 Military Friendly Schools and Employers ratings at www.militaryfriendly.com and in the upcoming May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine.

For more than a decade, Military Friendly ratings have set the standard for companies and colleges demonstrating positive employment and education outcomes for veterans and their families.

“I am extremely proud of the collective efforts of everyone that impacts a military-related student in some way, shape or form in Eagle nation,” said Dr. Silas Session, director of military initiatives. “Let’s continue to work together to provide an atmosphere of excellence to enable all students to soar higher. As we embark upon the 10-year anniversary of the dedication of the Veterans Resource Center to its name's sake, LTC Alan R. Baldwin, let’s continue to reflect on and build upon the superb and phenomenal foundation he developed.”

Military Friendly® Schools strive toward and succeed in the areas that matter most in helping veterans transition from the military to school and, ultimately, satisfying careers in the civilian world. The methodology for the ranking and the names of awardees are published online at www.militaryfriendly.com.

MSU assists military and veteran students through:
