Johnson joins Enrollment Services transfer team
The Transition Center in Morehead State’s Office of Enrollment Services has added a new member to its team.
Racquel Johnson will be serving as an enrollment services counselor for post-traditional and transfer students. Johnson will be based in Lexington at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. She will travel throughout Central and Northern Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio to assist post-traditional and transfer students with admissions, advising, and other student services. She will meet with students, faculty, and staff to discuss opportunities available to students at MSU such as regional campuses, online degree completer programs, joint admission and transfer scholarships.
“I am thrilled to be a part of Morehead State University, especially the transfer service team,” Johnson said. “My higher education career has prepared me and working with post-traditional and transfer students is very rewarding. Many of these students have had to overcome many obstacles to pursue their dream of higher education. Here at Morehead State University, I look forward to working with this student population and assisting them with realizing their dreams and obtaining their degree.”
A Lexington native, Johnson has an extensive background in higher education, specifically in admissions and recruitment. She has worked as an admissions counselor at Kentucky State University, West Virginia State University and the University of Cincinnati. She holds degrees from Walden University and Kentucky State. In her spare time, she owns and operates a small travel agency and works as a contract makeup artist.
