MSU art alumni featured in The Albion Review literary journal
The Albion Review, a national literary journal, featured artwork of Morehead State University Art & Design alumni Saule Gollihue (Class of 2022) and Kaylee Thornsberry (Class of 2021).
Gollihue and Thornsberry had one of their pieces chosen for the journal, making them two of the eight visual art pieces selected for the 2022 issue, available at https://albionreview.com.
Gollihue graduated this month with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art with minors in photography and history. She plans to continue her education and earn a Master of Fine Arts in Photography. Thornsberry graduated with a BFA in Art in December 2021. She currently maintains a studio in Morgan County.
The Albion Review is a national literary journal based in Albion College in Albion, Michigan. It features works of short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and visual art.
"The high level of creativity and skill in Saule and Kaylee's visual work is evident by its selection for a national juried publication from amongst their undergraduate peers," said Lisa Mesa-Gaido, professor of art at MSU. "Their submitting work for the journal also demonstrates the support students in MSU's Art & Design program receive from faculty, who prepare them as artists, as well as make them aware of and encourage them to take advantage of numerous professional opportunities."
