MSU Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter celebrates 50th anniversary
Members of the Kentucky Zeta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon (Sig Ep) fraternity at Morehead State University came together to celebrate their 50th anniversary on April 22 and 23.
During this special celebration, a group of more than 175 Sig Ep alumni and active students dedicated the newly named Sigma Phi Epsilon Reception Area in the Adron Doran University Center.
Among the weekend's activities and events, members met, organized the dedication of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Reception Area and hosted a formal banquet at the newly renovated Adron Doran University Center. MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan attended the banquet and delivered a speech to those in attendance.
Sigma Phi Epsilon established the Kentucky Zeta Chapter on Morehead's campus in 1970. To date, the chapter has raised over $50,000 in scholarship funds.
"Five generations of Kentucky Zeta Sig Eps recently gathered at MSU to celebrate 50-plus years of brotherhood. It was a blast to be back in Morehead and see how much the campus has changed," said Sig Ep alumnus and event organizer Chris Haid (Class of 1977). "Thanks to the MSU Alumni Association for helping us deliver a great experience for all."
