Meg Willis Robbins is coordinator of undergraduate research
Morehead State University’s Center for Career Development and Experiential Education is pleased to announce the addition of Meg Willis Robbins as the coordinator of undergraduate research. She will provide support for students interested in undergraduate research through the Undergraduate Research Fellowship program and increase awareness and opportunities for research within the undergraduate experience. She will support students to ensure that they develop and can articulate critical career skills like oral communication, critical thinking, and written communication as part of their research experience.
“Meg is going to be a great asset to the team as we work to ensure all MSU graduates have hands-on experience inside and outside the classroom that prepares them for future careers,” said Megan Boone, director of the Center for Career Development and Experiential Education. “She is student-focused and has a passion for competency-based curriculum that embeds critical career skills.”
A native of Illinois, Robbins has a Master of Arts in Education from Western Governors University and a Master of Arts in Historical Philosophy and Theology from the Edinburgh University, New College.
Robbins comes to the Center with a lengthy background in education, including K-12 administration and programming, higher education instruction, and continuing and adult education. She developed relationships with employers and community partners to build research, service, and work-based learning opportunities for high school students to encourage them to focus on their career pathways with passion and purpose. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Illinois and is completing her Doctorate in Education, Policy, and Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on learning design and technology.
