Faculty art exhibit opens Aug. 31
The annual Morehead State Department of Art and Design Faculty Exhibition opens Wednesday, Aug. 31, with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibit runs through Sept. 21. The opening reception is open to the public. Refreshments will be served and there will be live music.
The exhibit features the works of full-time, adjunct and emeritus faculty. Most often faculty members exhibit their work elsewhere in the US and internationally. This show is a chance to display their current work locally; to students and community members.
The faculty forum will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m., in the Golding-Yang Art Gallery. The exhibiting faculty members will be present to give brief talks about the artworks that they have presented. Audience members are encouraged to ask questions and interact with the faculty.
The Golding-Yang Art Gallery, located within the Claypool-Young Art Building, is a pivotal educational and cultural component of the Department of Art & Design, the Caudill College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the MSU campus and the community at large.
