MSU Golf program organizes golf outing fundraiser
Morehead State University’s Men’s and Women’s Golf teams hosted a benefit golf outing at the Greenbrier Golf & Country Club on July 18 in Lexington, Kentucky. The event allowed MSU supporters in central Kentucky to show their pride in MSU’s golf program. Over 21 teams played the championship 18-hole golf course and showed their support.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone that supports our men’s and women’s golf programs. Thank you to all 21 teams for spending their day with us,” said MSU Men’s Golf Coach Matthew Martin (Class of 2012). “The staff at Greenbrier is incredible, and we are fortunate to have their golf course for this special day as it allows us to engage with supporters and friends in the Lexington area who might not be able to visit Morehead often. Through the funds raised today and throughout the year, we can provide our student-athletes with everything they need to compete for championships and make some memories along the way.”
The golf event winners were Greg Turcotte of Alpha Financial Partners and his team, including Brad Borough, Willa Borough and Mallory Trudeau, who scored 54. The support of this team and the other participants has allowed the MSU Golf program to prepare for competition in the coming year.
