Board of Regents to meet March 30
The Morehead State University Board of Regents will meet Thursday, March 30, at 9:45 a.m. in the Adron Doran University Center.
Following students, faculty and staff recognitions, the board will hear recommendations and reports from MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan. Items on the agenda include:
- Approve minutes of the February board meeting, audit committee meeting and executive committee meeting.
- Ratify personnel actions.
- Approve tenure with promotion, tenure, and sabbatical leaves for 2023-24.
- Approve coaches' contracts.
- Approve University's six-year capital plan.
- Approve facility name.
In addition, the board will vote to:
- Approve the second quarter financial statements and ratify the amended operating budget.
- Approve state asset preservation funds for 2023-24.
- Authorize President Morgan to approve the acceptance of and disposition of property to the City of Morehead.
- Approve a resolution authorizing the sale of Morehead State University general receipts obligations, 2023 Series A.
The board will also hear reports on university advancement and fundraising from Vice President for University Advancement Rick Hesterberg, and an update on optional retirement plans from Vice President for Fiscal Services Mary Fister-Tucker. There will also be an update on the university investment policy and the president's report.
The board will also conduct its annual evaluation of Dr. Morgan and its yearly self-evaluation.
The next quarterly board meeting will be held Thursday, June 15.
