Talent Search holds Career Day
The Educational Talent Search (ETS) programs at Morehead State University hosted their annual "Game of Life" College and Career Fair this month.
More than 200 students from 12 ETS program high schools attended the event. Students had the opportunity to hear from MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan, WKYT News Anchor and MSU alumna Amber Philpott (Class of 2003), and various professionals from 30 vendors. Careers represented at the fair included: the FBI, Federal Bureau of Prisons, WKYT News, Dream Maker Realty, The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center, and the Kentucky State Police, among others.
"We want our students to not only pursue the best educational programs to further their careers but to also seek out hands-on experiences through internships, job shadowing, or even volunteer work," said ETS Director Summer Bryant. "My hope is that our students leave feeling not only motivated but also empowered with the resources and professional connections to take that next step on their path to their career."
