Morehead State University seeks continuing national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for its MSN program, Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care focus.

CCNE, recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education, will evaluate nursing programs on-site on Oct. 23-25, 2023. The community is invited to submit comments to the address below.

Having a continuous quality improvement approach, the CCNE evaluates the effectiveness and quality of nursing programs based on standards related to the following four areas:

  • Mission and governance
  • Institutional commitment and resources
  • Curriculum and teaching-learning practices
  • Assessment and achievement of program outcomes

CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team before the visit, but at no time during the visit and review process are the comments shared with the department.

You can find additional information related to the standards for accreditation on this website, https://www.aacnnursing.org/CCNE.

All comments on the CCNE standards or other academic parameters should be directed to thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org. All comments must be received by CCNE on or before Oct. 2, 2023, and include the name, address, and telephone number of the person providing the comments.
