Board of Regents meets Feb. 2
The next meeting of the Morehead State Board of Regents will be Friday, Feb. 2, at 9:30 a.m. at MSU at Mt. Sterling, located at 3400 Indian Mound Drive in Mt. Sterling.
After the board recognizes faculty, staff, and students, board members will hear reports and recommendations from MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan. Consent agenda items include:
- Approve minutes, ratify personnel actions and Fall 2023 graduates
- Approve the university’s organizational chart and athletics contract
- President Morgan will recommend that the board take the following actions:
- Approve the first quarter financial report
- Approve issuance of university bonds for new residence hall and purchase of new furniture for residence halls
- Approve refunding of university bonds
- Approve disposal of real property at the Derrickson Agricultural Center for KY HWY 377 road improvements
- The board will also receive the mid-year financial update, updates on the plans for the new science and engineering building and new residence hall, personal service contracts, the status of the Laughlin Health Building, University performance, 2023 fundraising efforts, and a legislative update.
Board members will also enter an executive session to discuss the disposition of real estate. The board will take no action during the closed session.
The next Board of Regents meeting is Friday, March 29.
