Morehead State faculty and staff compete in Suit Bank Showdown
One of the most popular services offered by Morehead State University's Center for Career Development and Experiential Education (CCDEE) is the free Suit Bank, which provides business apparel to students and alumni at no charge. Once again, MSU faculty and staff are doing their part to build it up.
The Center hosts an annual Suit Bank Showdown, a friendly competition allowing teams of faculty and staff to see which team can donate the most business-professional clothing.
The competition took place last fall and MSU faculty and staff donated new or used business attire and received points for each type of garment.
The Testing Center won the 2023 Suit Bank Showdown. Other participants included:
- Elmer R. Smith College of Business & Technology
- MSU Athletics
- Office of Enrollment Services
- Office of Regional Education and Outreach
- Office of the Registrar
"We are grateful for the donated items and know they will go a long way to helping Eagles put their best foot forward in their career endeavors," said Andrew Sexton (Class of 2020, 2022), coordinator of service learning in the CCDEE. "We value these partnerships with our campus community and appreciate everyone helping our students be successful."
Donations are welcome at any time and can be dropped off at the CCDEE, located on the ground floor of the Camden-Carroll Library. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations to the Suit Bank are tax-deductible.
The CCDEE can help Eagle students and alumni pursue their career goals and succeed after graduation through various services. These include resume and cover letter construction, graduate school applications, mock interviews, job/internship search tips, networking, and other career skill development activities.
