Madisyn Staggs joins Morehead State as transfer counselor
Morehead State University has hired one of its own transfer student success stories to help similar students find success when they become Eagles.
The Transition Center in the Office of Enrollment Services is pleased to announce the addition of Madisyn Staggs (Class of 2022) as an enrollment services counselor for adult and transfer students.
Staggs will assist transfer and adult students in central Kentucky, northern Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana with admissions, advising, and other student services. She will also meet with students, faculty, and staff to inform them of opportunities available to transfer students at MSU, including regional campuses, online degree completer programs, joint admission, and transfer scholarships.
“We are incredibly pleased to have Madisyn join the transition team,” said Jen Timmermann (Class of 2003, 2007), director of transition services. “Her personal transfer experience at MSU and her drive to help future students will make her an outstanding resource for students planning to transfer to Morehead State.”
Staggs transferred to MSU in 2019 and graduated in the spring of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in history. After working last year in her home state of Ohio, she was glad to return to her alma mater, where she can aid other transfer students with the transition.
“Transferring to MSU was the best decision I ever made, and it’s an honor to be able to help other students make the choice that changed my life,” Staggs said. “I am so excited to give back to the community I grew to call home during my three years at Morehead State.”
