Morehead State assists students and families with FAFSA Workshops
Morehead State University prides itself on providing affordable, quality education while helping students and families navigate the financial aid process.
The federal government is rolling out a simplified FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2024-25 academic year. MSU will offer FAFSA Workshops in February and March as students prepare for the 2024-25 FAFSA.
These workshops will be for high school students and current MSU students.
"There have been significant changes made to the 2024-25 FAFSA and Morehead State University's Office of Financial Aid is here to help students navigate the application process," said Denise Trusty, director of financial aid. "We strive to make this process as easy as possible for students and look forward to assisting you."
The following FAFSA workshops will occur in Room 205 at the Enrollment Services Center, 121 E. Second Street in Morehead:
- Feb. 18, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Sunday FAFSA Funday, a partnership with Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA). Students attending a Sunday FAFSA Funday event in Kentucky can register for one of two $500 Kentucky higher education scholarships.
- Feb. 19, 2-6 p.m.
- Feb. 20, 2-6 p.m.
- Feb. 21, 2-6 p.m.
- Feb. 22, 2-6 p.m.
- Feb. 23, 2-6 p.m.
- March 2, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Incoming students are encouraged to apply for a FSA ID now or at least 3-5 weeks before completing the 2024-25 FAFSA. Although there is a delay in FAFSA availability for the 2024-25 academic year, we encourage students and their parents/contributors to complete the FSA IDs now.
Current MSU students are encouraged to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA now. They and their parents/contributors should confirm their FSA IDs to ensure their parents/contributors have remembered theirs.
Please review the 2024-25 FAFSA Completion Guide for High School Seniors or the 2024-25 FAFSA Completion Guide for College Students for additional information.
About 95% of MSU undergraduates receive financial aid—loans, grants, scholarships, and other resources that make a Morehead State education more affordable.
