Morehead State Veterinary Technology program ranked 13th in nation, #1 in state
Morehead State's veterinary technology program has once again been ranked among the top programs in the nation and the top program in the state by BestColleges.
MSU is ranked 13th in the nation and first in Kentucky for its associate veterinary technology program. MSU also offers a Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary technology. BestColleges looked at admissions rates, student loan default rates, retention and graduation rates, and the percentage of students enrolled in online classes to determine the rankings. All data points are taken from information provided by colleges and universities to the National Center for Education Statistics.
"The veterinary technology faculty takes great pride in the time and dedication given to the students. At MSU Vet Tech, students are more than just a name or number. They become family, and our main goal is to provide them with ample opportunities to become successful," said Dr. Amy Staton, (Class of 2013) director of the veterinary technology program.
"Providing our students with on-site facilities and giving them the ability to gain and refine essential skills, all while imparting a solid foundation of knowledge, is what sets our students apart. When students graduate from MSU Vet Tech and gain licensure, they are highly desirable in the profession and will go on to make a positive impact in veterinary medicine."
