Morehead State Board of Regents holds quarterly meeting
The Morehead State University Board of Regents met Friday, June 14, for the regular quarterly meeting.
The board recognized faculty, staff and students for their service to the University.
Honorees were:
- Interim Director of Financial Aid Tosha Binion (Class of 2007, 2009, 2012)
- Outgoing Student Government Association President and Student Regent Presley Boyer (Class of 2024)
- Building Services Technician Vicki Porter
- Chair for the Department of Business Administration Dr. Janet Ratliff (Class of 1991, 1992)
The regents voted to approve the new Master of Social Work program, ratify the degrees of spring 2024 graduates, approve faculty promotions, faculty emeritus status and coaching contracts, and approve the nominee for the Founders Award for University Service.
The regents approved the third quarter financial report and ratified the amended operating budget. The board also authorized the construction of a new multidisciplinary academic building, and approved the 2024-25 operating budget, fee schedule, and personnel roster.
The board discussed MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan’s annual evaluation and review and heard a summary of the board’s self-evaluation from Chair Eric Howard (Class of 1981).
