Morehead State Board of Regents meets June 14
The Morehead State University Board of Regents will meet Friday, June 14, at 9:30 a.m. in room 329 of the Adron Doran University Center.
Before the meeting, regents will review plans for the new science and engineering building and the new residence hall. Construction on those projects begins this summer.
The regents will vote to approve several consent agenda items, including:
- Approval of the new Master of Social Work program.
- Ratification of personnel actions.
- Ratification of spring 2024 graduates.
- Approval of faculty promotions and faculty emeritus status.
- Approval of athletic coaching contracts.
- Approval of updated information technology and retirement/return to hire policies.
- Approval of Founders Day Award nominations.
The board will also vote to ratify the approval of the amended operating budget for the current fiscal year and the annual University operating budget, fee schedule and personnel roster for the 2024-25 fiscal year. The board will also approve the naming of a facility at the meeting.
The regents will enter a closed executive session to discuss matters relating to the future disposition of real estate and will take no action in this session.
Following the closed session, the board will vote to authorize the construction of a new multidisciplinary academic building.
The board will hear an update on the Student Government Association (SGA) from Student Regent Presley Boyer and:
- A report on spring enrollment.
- A report on personal service contracts.
- A report on the MSU Foundation.
- An update on the state performance funding formula from MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan.
In addition, the board will discuss the president’s annual evaluation and review and recognize Boyer for her service. They will also hear a summary of the board’s self-evaluation from Chair Eric Howard.
