Morehead State Celebrates Juneteenth
Morehead State will celebrate the Juneteenth holiday with an Eagle block party on the Fields Hall lawn on Monday, June 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The block party features facts and history about Juneteenth and food by Aramark and MSU alumnus and local business owner Charles Graham (Class of 1997). There will also be music, games and prizes. It is sponsored by the Office of Human Resources, the Eagle Diversity Education Center, and the Division of Student Affairs.
MSU will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, in recognition of Juneteenth. Administrative offices will be closed, and classes will not meet.
The Camden-Carroll Library, the University Post Office and the Barnes & Noble University Store will be closed.
The Recreation & Wellness Center will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The MSU Police Department (MSUPD) will be staffed 24-7 during the holiday. You may contact the MSUPD at 606-783-2035 or via the LiveSafe mobile app. In the event of an emergency, always call 911.
Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, June 20.
