Morehead State Board of Regents meets August 9
The Morehead State University Board of Regents will meet Friday, Aug. 9, at 9:30 a.m. in room 329 of the Adron Doran University Center.
The meeting will begin with recognition of faculty and staff for their service. The board will install new regents: Student Regent Brady Lawson, Staff Regent Dr. Joel Pace (Class of 2002, 2004, 2006, 2015, 2021), and Regent Dr. Sanford Holbrook (Class of 1997, 2003, 2006).
The board will elect officers, approve service contracts, state matching funds, coaching contracts, emeritus status and the Student Code of Conduct, and ratify personnel actions.
The board will hear updates on financial aid, honoring and fundraising for buildings, MSU’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), and a presentation on Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) for athletes and 2025 employee health care and personal service contracts.
The board will vote on recommendations to approve asset preservation projects for the following:
- Campus Communications Infrastructure Plan
- Breckinridge Hall, Eagle Lake Apartments, Fields Hall and Normal Hall
- Wetherby Gymnasium/Laughlin Health Building Site Draining Mitigation
- Veterinary Technology Building
