MSU and SOAR host inspirational speaker series
Morehead State's College of Business & Technology and Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) will host Kyle Caudill, founder and CEO of 4C Innovation in Morehead, for its Inspirational Speaker Series.
The event takes place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, in Room 329 of the Adron Doran University Center (ADUC). The event is open to the public and you must register for the event online.
Caudill started as a pontoon loader, helping load boats from the water from the trailer at launch ramps. He now focuses on producing durable, quality farming equipment to reduce farmers' costs.
"He took real-life problems that he was facing in his own life and has turned it into an extremely successful and profitable business," said Deveney Redwine (Class of 2018, 2022), outreach coordinator for SOAR.
The speaking engagement is free thanks to a grant partnership with MSU. The grant empowers student entrepreneurs to start, work through their business ideas, or scale their existing businesses.
Barbara Gay, program manager for SOAR Business and Innovation, said the event will offer valuable lessons and practical advice for aspiring entrepreneurs on leadership, communication, and strategic planning challenges, along with opportunities to connect within "a supportive and enterprising community."
"We are thrilled about the upcoming Inspirational Speaker Series, which aims to engage and motivate students," Gay said. "Our goal is to inspire ambition and demonstrate that entrepreneurial success is attainable."
