MSU to hold Ideation Workshop

Morehead State University, in partnership with the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI) and Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR), is hosting an Ideation Workshop from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, in Room 209 of the Bert T. Combs Building. The event is open to both students, faculty, and the campus community.

The Ideation Workshop will take participants on a journey through solving identified problems with solutions that could become entrepreneurial opportunities. This interactive workshop will also take participants through problem statements, "how might we" questions, solution generation, paper prototyping, and pitches of their ideas.

“We are thrilled about the upcoming Ideation Workshop at Morehead State University,” said SOAR Business and Innovation Program Manager Barbara Gay. “Ideation brings an entrepreneurial ecosystem together to go through idea generation activities for the purpose of creating innovative and outside-the-box solutions to real problems.”

Gay said this event will generate entry points for prospective entrepreneurs, along with previous participants in inspiration programming.

“Additionally, the event will provide networking opportunities for participants to connect within a supportive and enterprising community,” she said. “We hope you will join us as we build an entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

The Ideation Workshop is free of charge and pre-registration is preferred.
