Alumni Association Board of Directors welcomes members, officers
The Morehead State University Alumni Association Board of Directors installed a new president and president-elect at their most recent meeting in September. Additionally, the board has welcomed seven new members over the last two meetings.
Andrea Faulkner (Class of 2001, 2006) was installed as president of the board after serving terms as a general member and president-elect. Faulkner is assistant superintendent of Washington Court House City Schools in Ohio.
“More than anyplace else, MSU has shaped the person I am and inspired my love of education,” said Faulkner. “Serving as president with such amazing and talented board members is a true honor and privilege.”
MeMe Ratliff (Class of 1995, 2001) was installed as president-elect. Ratliff is a retired Jefferson County Public Schools health and physical education instructor. In retirement, she leads classes at her local YMCA and is an adjunct instructor at Bellarmine University.
“MSU made such a huge impact on my life,” said Ratliff. “It’s been an honor to serve on the board for much of the past two decades, and I’m honored to have been elected to serve as president-elect!”
Seven new general members were also welcomed at the May and September meetings.
Sherry Adkins (Class of 1974, 1995, 2010) of Richmond graduated from MSU with two degrees in nursing and a master’s degree in adult and higher education. She is a retired nurse and diabetes educator.
Arlie Bailey (Class of 1994) of Ezel earned a degree in clothing and textiles from MSU. She currently works in farm management.
Jeannie Elliott (Class of 1975) of Plant City, Florida, earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation. She spent her career working for The Walt Disney Company.
Chase Johnson (Class of 2014) of Lexington earned a degree in engineering management and was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity member. He currently works in cybersecurity.
Erik Kouns (Class of 2001, 2023) of Grayson earned mathematics and educational leadership degrees. He is retired from the Kentucky State Police and currently teaches math at East Carter High School.
Dominique Pleasant-Moore (Class of 1998) of Louisville holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and teaches in the Jefferson County Public School System.
Herb Triplett (Class of 1985) of Mt. Sterling studied business administration. He has spent much of his career in philanthropy.
Brady Lawson (Student Government Association President), senior political science major from Ezel, and Noah Cupps (Student Alumni Ambassador President), senior cybersecurity major from Hebron, were also installed as student members at the September meeting.
The MSU Alumni Association Board of Directors is a group of alumni volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to making their alma mater an even better place.
