Star Theater presents Valentine’s Under the Stars
A unique experience is coming to Morehead State University's Star Theater.
A special holiday event, Valentine’s Under the Stars, is on Feb. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the MSU Space Science Center.
The evening begins with a gourmet four-course meal served tableside:
- Appetizer: Crostini with pickled vegetables.
- Soup or Entrée: Cheesy cream of cauliflower soup or coffee-braised beef short ribs.
- Wine Pairings: Carefully selected wine to complement each course.
- Dessert: Panna cotta with roasted stone fruit, accompanied by coffee.
The event also features a planetarium show, live guided night sky tour, telescope viewing, and up-close looks at celestial wonders.
Assistant Professor of Space Systems, Engineering and Theater Director Dr. Pamela Clark shared her enthusiasm for the event and its impact on the community:
“We are always trying to expand awareness of our shows throughout the area through the use of all kinds of media, and our numbers have increased over time,” Clark said. “We do more programs for schools, community groups, and private events (birthdays, weddings, celebrations) as time goes on,” she said.
Clark also highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration.
“We are hoping to work with the Morehead town council and merchants to support 'sidewalk science' activities and to create more connection and mutual benefit for the campus and the town,” she added.
Details for reserving seats must include the following:
