MSU Board of Regents to Meet on Friday, Feb. 7

The Morehead State University Board of Regents will hold its next meeting on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in ADUC Room 329, starting with the Audit Committee meeting followed by the regular meeting at 9:50 a.m. 

The Audit Committee will review and approve the 2023-24 NCAA AUP Report, WMKY-FM Audit Report, and Single Audit Report. The committee will also vote on the reappointment of the auditing firm, audit price, and the minimum scope of the annual audit.

During the regular meeting, the Board will discuss:

• Ratifying personnel actions and Fall 2024 graduates.
• Approving revisions to the Student Government Association Constitution and Bylaws.
• Approving faculty sabbaticals and athletic contracts.
• Approving updates to Policy PG-15 (Employment of Minors).
• Approving the first-quarter financial report and amended operating budget.
• Accepting the 2023-2024 NCAA and WMKY-FM audits.
• Approving the minimum scope of the annual audit.

The Board will also recognize members of the MSU community, including:

• Students: MSU Soccer and Volleyball teams
• Staff: Travis Jolley, maintenance supervisor/locksmith
• Faculty: Dr. Kim Clevenger, chair of the department of nursing

Additionally, several reports and presentations will be shared, including a University Performance Update, a Mid-Year Financial Update, a Construction Update, and a Presentation on the Six-Year Capital Plan. Updates will also be provided on 2024 fundraising efforts and personal services contracts.
