Morehead Film Challenge Spotlights Student Work

The Morehead Film Challenge returns to Morehead State University this weekend, running from Friday, April 11, through Monday, April 14.Film Challenge Poster

Open to all MSU students, the annual challenge dares participants to conceive, shoot, and edit an original short film in 72 hours.

Students will receive a creative prompt on Friday afternoon and have until 9 a.m. on Monday to complete their films. The event offers an opportunity for students to showcase their storytelling and filmmaking talents under pressure.

The challenge culminates in a free public screening on Monday, April 14, at 8 p.m. at Morehead Cinemas 6. A red-carpet event will precede the screening at 7 p.m., giving students the full premiere experience as they share their hard work with the community.

The screening is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend and support the student filmmakers. If you want more information about the Morehead Film Challenge, contact Professor of Mass Communication Jeffrey Hill at j.hill@moreheadstate.edu.
