MSU Named 2025 Beta Gamma Sigma Gold Chapter Winner
Morehead State University’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business students at AACSB-accredited institutions, has been named the 2025 Gold Chapter Winner.
This honor recognizes the most outstanding chapter among more than 6,800 worldwide. The announcement will be formally made during the AACSB International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM), which will be held this April in Vienna, Austria.
“This is the most prestigious award for any Beta Gamma Sigma chapter to win,” said Faculty Advisor and Associate Professor Dr. Christy Trent (Class of 2006). “Our students are in the top 10% to 20% of their classes and work to support one another, other business students, and the community through their activities. This prestigious award is well deserved, and it is my pleasure to serve as the faculty advisor for this fantastic group of students.”
Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes academic excellence and leadership among top business students. Morehead State’s chapter stood out due to its commitment to service, student development, and campus engagement.
“Serving as President of Beta Gamma Sigma has been an incredible honor,” said Jannah R. Curreri, current chapter president. “Our members are deeply engaged with the campus and community—from hosting study sessions and supporting regional competitions to launching initiatives like the BGS Gives Back youth book drive. The connections and opportunities BGS provides have been instrumental in my academic and personal growth.”
The Gold Chapter Award underscores MSU’s commitment to excellence in business education and the dedication of its students to fostering leadership and service both inside and outside the classroom.
