Morehead State to host two-day Sonography Conference
Morehead State University will host the Sonography Conference May 15-16, 2026, offering sonography professionals two full days of advanced instruction, hands-on learning, and professional development.
The conference provides a total of 14 continuing education credits, with seven credits available each day.
Designed for practicing sonographers and imaging professionals, the conference features expert-led sessions addressing clinical practice, emerging technologies, career pathways, and professional wellness.
Friday, May 15, 2026
- 8 a.m. – Check-in and breakfast begin
- 8:30–9:30 a.m. – Remember Your WHY – Tips to Combat Sonographer Burnout, presented by Cyndi Peterson
- 9:30–10:30 a.m. – Markers of Aneuploidy, presented by Dr. Jamil Elfarra
- 10:30–11:30 a.m. – Doppler Studies, presented by Dr. Jamil Elfarra
- 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. – Common Fetal Anomalies, presented by Dr. Jamil Elfarra
- 12:30–1:30 p.m. – Lunch provided and sponsor floor time
- 1:30–2:30 p.m. – The Impact of Sonography on the Body: Ultrasound or Ultra- “Ow!”, presented by Dr. Jarrod Plank (Class of 2019)
- 2:30–4:30 p.m. – AIUM Standard Fetal Heart Views: What Every Sonographer Should Know, presented by Megan Meade (Class of 2010)
- 4:30–5:30 p.m. – Hands-on training with Megan Meade (separate registration required)

Lunch will be provided both days, along with dedicated sponsor floor time. A limited-capacity hands-on training opportunity is available on Friday with separate registration.
