Morehead State University Foundation Celebrates Record-Breaking Fundraising Year
The Morehead State University Foundation and the Office of Alumni Relations & Development are proud to announce the most successful fundraising year in Foundation history.
During fiscal year 2026, the Foundation secured approximately $9.5 million in philanthropic support, setting a new annual fundraising record and exceeding the previous record by more than $3 million. This historic milestone reflects the extraordinary generosity of Eagle supporters and marks significant progress toward the Foundation’s goal of growing its endowment to $100 million through the “For the Next” campaign. Currently valued at more than $91 million, the endowment continues to grow, creating transformative opportunities for future generations of Morehead State students.
"This historic fundraising achievement demonstrates the deep commitment our donors have to Morehead State University and the life-changing opportunities we provide for students," said Allison Caudill (Class of 2005, 2009), vice president for university advancement and CEO of the MSU Foundation. "Their generosity is creating scholarships, supporting academic programs and helping ensure that future generations of Eagles have access to a high-quality education."
The success of fiscal year 2026 was driven by generous contributions from alumni and friends across the region and nation, along with major investments in student scholarships, academic excellence, athletics and institutional advancement. Multiple generous estate gifts, as well as the naming of the Greene College of Science & Engineering, had a significant impact on dollars raised for the year.
As the Foundation continues its work to expand philanthropic support and grow its endowment, University leaders remain focused on creating new opportunities for student success and advancing Morehead State University's. A stronger endowment will support their efforts, providing sustainable, permanent funding that supports student scholarships, faculty excellence, academic innovation and key university initiatives.
