MSU Top Veteran-Friendly School for second straight year
Morehead State University's commitment to the success and support of veterans, active-duty military personnel and military-connected families has once again received national recognition.
U.S. Veterans Magazine has recognized MSU as a Top Veteran-Friendly School for the second straight year.
"It is truly an honor to once again receive this recognition from U.S. Veterans Magazine as it highlights our commitment and dedication to serving military-affiliated students and their families," said Jen Timmermann (Class of 2003, 2007), director of adult and transfer admissions. "Morehead State provides dedicated staff, support, and resources to all active-duty, military dependents, and veterans who choose to continue their education here. We're proud to serve all military-affiliated students and are honored that they've chosen to study at MSU."
Each year, U.S. Veterans Magazine conducts a national evaluation to identify institutions and organizations that go above and beyond in supporting veterans and transitioning service members. These lists are a trusted resource for college students.
Morehead State University has a long-standing reputation for supporting veterans, active-duty military personnel, and military-connected families in their pursuit of higher education. MSU was named a 2026-27 College of Distinction for Military Support. Additionally, Morehead State University was recognized earlier this year by U.S. Veterans Magazine as a leader in serving veterans and military-connected students, earning a Top Yellow Ribbon School designation.
