Student Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR)
SOAR is the time to sign up for classes and prepare for your first semester at MSU. Faculty, staff and current students will help you and answer questions about academic programs, dining plans, financial aid, housing, scholarships, and more.
Before you sign up for SOAR - it's time to confirm your attendance. Submit your enrollment fee as soon as possible. Only those individuals with a paid enrollment fee and SOAR registration are guaranteed a place. If you have questions or require assistance completing the online enrollment fee, please call us at 606-783-2000 or email admissions@moreheadstate.edu.
When registering for SOAR online, you must select a major, undecided area of interest, or undecided. If you need help, the advisors listed below can assist.

Still not sure what your major should be? MSU offers 145 undergraduate degree options and 23 pre-professional programs.
If you need assistance during SOAR or the school year because of a temporary or permanent disability, please contact Disability Services.
Who can participate?
You must be accepted to MSU before registering to attend a SOAR program. If you have questions regarding your admission status, please contact the Office of Enrollment Services at 606-783-2000 or admissions@moreheadstate.edu.
To provide the best service, there are a limited number of spaces for each program. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel the date you have registered, call 606-783-5208.
