Part-time & Temporary Employee Information

These resources are for new part-time or temporary employees to get you started in your new position. To apply for a position at MSU, complete the Employment Application online or download the application.

1. Review the following items and bring completed documents to the Office of Human Resources, 301 Howell-McDowell, on or before your first day of employment:

2. Bring the following documents to the Office of Human Resources:

  • Evidence of your highest educational level in keeping with the qualifications required for the position. For University accreditation purposes, staff members should send their official transcript(s) to the Office of Human Resources and faculty should send their official transcript(s) to the Office of the Provost.
  • Acceptable I-9 Documents (to verify employment eligibility). Choose either one form of identification from List A or two forms of identification, one each, from List B and List C. If you are a foreign national, your offer of employment is contingent upon proper visa classification (per IRCA).

3. Complete the following required training within the first two weeks of employment:

  1. Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training (Title IX/Campus SaVE Act)
  2. Preventing Workplace Harassment - Morehead State University believes in an environment free of harassment. MSU intends to ensure all responsible employees understand how to recognize, respond, and report workplace harassment. Follow these instructions to enroll in the EduRisk Learning Portal:
    1. Go to the EduRisk Learning Portal.
    2. First-time users should utilize the Registration section.
      1. Enter your first and last name
        Enter a valid email address (if you know your MSU email, please use that)
      2. If you know your MSU ID number (m0000000), please enter that in "Optional Field 1."
      3. After clicking Register, you should receive an email with a temporary password.
      4. Follow the link in the email to sign in.
      5. You will be prompted to enter a new password when first signing in.
      6. Once you have access to the training, you will complete the course assigned to you: Mosaic: Prevent Discrimination and Harassment: Faculty & Staff.
  3. Employees who will be granted access to the student database must complete FERPA training. FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. If you are working in a position requiring this access, please complete this training. For assistance, call the IT Help Desk at 783-HELP (783-4357).
