TRIO Programs
TRiO is a group of programs offered through MSU and collaborative efforts with state and federal educational agencies. TRiO programs aim to help students in need gain access to educational tools, prepare students for postsecondary education, and promote community service and good citizenship.
All external and TRiO programs are externally grant-funded programs. The TRiO programs are funded through the US Department of Education and have been operating at MSU for nearly 40 years. TRiO programs in Kentucky serve approximately 21,000 students. Other programs are funded through different community, state or federal grant programs.
