Vascular Sonography Concentration

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) students who choose the vascular sonography concentration will learn how to perform vascular sonographic examinations and will be able to sit for the vascular sonography board examination. Vascular sonography is a noninvasive test healthcare providers use to determine how blood flows in arteries and veins in your arms, neck, and legs to diagnose blood clots, narrowed blood vessels, and other vascular health conditions. Students in the program will receive hands-on learning in MSU’s imaging sciences facilities and through clinical placements in healthcare facilities throughout the region.

Students can apply for the program beginning in April 2024.
