Advising & Tutoring
MSU is committed to student success, and academic advising is a crucial part of helping students succeed. As a student, you are assigned an academic advisor to provide guidance in your major, as well as career planning and placement.
Additionally, MSU has professional advising staff in each college to help you navigate your degree plan, course scheduling and other questions you may have.
MSU also provides resources to help you succeed through the Tutoring and Learning Center, Disability Services, and College Readiness program. The Center for Career Development & Experiential Education helps you plan for your future success.
Temporary Relocation
Retention & Academic Advising/First Year Seminar and the Tutoring & Learning Center are relocating to the 3rd floor of Allie Young Hall for repairs. We will be in Allie Young Hall from May 12 to May 30, 2025. All services are fully accessible for students, campus partners, and other guests in our temporary location.
