Research & Sponsored Programs

In order to achieve this our office is organized around three important functions:   

• Pre-Award Administration – The Pre-Award Team handles all aspects of proposal development such as identifying funding sources, electronic proposal submission, budget development/modification, information on specific funding entities, training for new investigators and more.
• Post Award Administration – The Post-Award Team is responsible for duties related to post-award work, including award notifications, contract review and facilitating account set up with the Office of Accounting and Fiscal Services. Additionally, the team handles research compliance issues ranging from the use of human and animal subjects to contract review, including oversight of state and federal regulations compliance, research ethics, memoranda of agreement, intellectual property and contract negotiations.
• Research Enhancement – We also provide leadership in providing a variety of other resources, including internal research funding, intellectual property disclosures, and inter-institutional partnerships to faculty, staff and students to enhance and improve our institutional research infrastructure and capacity.

Our staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to assist in the quest for external funding.
