Engaged Eagles Initiative
The Engaged Eagles Initiative is MSU’s plan to get students involved in service to the surrounding region throughout their college careers.
get involved
Engaged Eagles participate in student-focused service opportunities like Make an Impact Day and the March to Service, giving them civic engagement and valuable career skills.
Make an Impact Day
Make an Impact Day is MSU’s day of service for First Year Seminar students. They get involved in hands-on projects like making blankets to donate to children, writing letters to alumni donors, and helping people register to vote. Learn about the wide variety of on-campus resources and connect with community partners to volunteer throughout the region.
the March to Service
The March to Service was created to support the Council on Postsecondary Education’s Kentucky Graduate Profile, a set of career-focused learning outcomes that prepare students for career success. MSU students can develop other essential skills through the Level Up program and the cultural competency certificate.
“These students embody the mission of MSU - to create a community of lifelong learners who work to improve the quality of life in our region. They have gone above and beyond to engage in our community ... while developing in-demand career skills. It is my hope that they continue to be engaged civically as they spread their wings and launch their careers. Congratulations to these Engaged Eagles.”
