Provost Search
Morehead State University invites applications and nominations for the provost and vice president position for academic affairs. The provost serves as the chief academic officer of the University and provides leadership in its quest to increase its reputation as a public regional university in the South. The provost works with the senior leadership in its desire to create a 21st-century university with a clear focus on student success through academic excellence, strong institutional partnerships, scholarship and research, meaningful service to the region, and effective resource utilization.
The position reports to MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan. The provost serves in the president's absence. Positions directly reporting to the provost include college and library deans, associate/assistant vice presidents for undergraduate education/student success, research/graduate programs, regional education and outreach, and various programmatic and academic directors.
