Graduation

Please remember that if you are graduating this semester, you need to come to the Office of International Student Services (OISS) to let us know so that we can report your immigration status accurately to the Department of Homeland Security.

• If you are graduating and would like to utilize the Optional Practical Training (OPT) opportunity available to you, please come to see Pam Jaisingh or Denice Copher for counseling on this option. 
• If you are continuing your education with us at MSU, please work with the admissions office for admission to the graduate program and the OISS will assist you with your new immigration documents for a change in your degree level. 
• If you are transferring to another institution to continue your education, please let us know this also, because your immigration record will need to be transferred out to the new institution. 
• Please let us know also if you are graduating and returning home so that we can update your immigration record to "completed" in the system.
