Maintenance Requests
At Morehead State, your residence hall is your home! And we want to ensure you have the best experience possible. In order to make us aware of issues that need repair, maintenance, or attention, please follow the steps below.
If this is an emergency situation (significant damage, flooding, appliance malfunction etc.) please alert the Office of Student Housing as soon as possible. If this is during normal business hours (M-F 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), please contact the office at 606-783-2060 ext 3. If your situation is occurring outside of normal business hours, please alert your building’s on-call staff. Non-emergency work requests should be placed online by the student impacted and will be addressed as soon as possible (normally within three working days).
Place a Maintenance Request online
- Log in to MyMoreheadState.
- Select the "School Dude" icon.
- If this is not your first maintenance request, please log in with your information and proceed to step 4. If this is the first time submitting a work request, please follow the instructions on School Dude to create your account with the following information:
- Account number: 567091961
- Email: Your MSU email account
- Fill out all required information marked with a red box and checkmark:
- Location - building you are submitting a work order for
- Area - physical location in the building (i.e. lobby, 1st floor, etc.)
- Area/Room Number - specific location (i.e. office, laundry room, 107)
- Select the nature of the issue (i.e. air not working would be classified as "Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning")
- Describe your problem or request - specific information about the issue (i.e., "Air conditioner is not blowing cold air when the unit is turned on")
- Enter the password, "msu" (lowercase).
- Submit your request.
Place a Maintenance Request for an Information Technology Issue (Cable/Internet/computer)
If you are having issues with cable/internet/campus computer or things associated with them (wall jacks, etc.) you must contact the IT help desk for support. You may call 606-783-HELP (4357) or email ithelpdesk@moreheadstate.edu:
- From your Morehead State email address, send a message to ithelpdesk@moreheadstate.edu with the subject of "Help Desk Request."
- Include the specific location of the issue (e.g. 304 Alumni Tower), a description of the issue, and your EagleCard ID number.
- The Office of Information Technology will send a confirmation email including your work order number and any additional information they may need to address your concerns.
