Summer Housing

SUMMER HOUSING REQUIREMENTS

Students seeking to live on campus for any of the summer terms below need to be either actively enrolled in courses for the summer session they are seeking accommodation or actively enrolled for a full-time course load for Fall 2024. Students that are graduating in May 2024 are not eligible for on-campus living this summer.

SUMMER HOUSING PRIORITY

First priority will be given to students that are actively enrolled in Summer 2024 coursework. Second priority will be given to students seeking living accommodations for the entire summer. Remaining spaces will be offered to students based on date of application for Summer 2024 housing.

SUMMER HOUSING LOCATION

Students selected for Summer 2024 housing will be placed in Alumni Tower. These rooms are two-person rooms and rooms will be filled to capacity for the summer session. Private rooms or reduced occupancy rooms will not be offered for Summer 2024.

AVAILABLE TERMS FOR SUMMER

Maymester:

• Move In: Saturday, May 11, 2024
• Move Out: N/A
• Cost: $210  

Note: Only available for students approved for Full Summer or Summer I. Students only residing on campus for summer II or students not residing on campus any other term are ineligible for Maymester housing. Students that are accepted and assigned for Maymester housing will be automatically approved and charged for a Spring 2023 extended stay that will allow them current assignment access until 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. 

Full Summer:

• Move In: June 9, 2024, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Move Out: August 2, 2024, no later than 7 p.m. (Students not residing on campus for Fall 2024)
• Cost: $770

Note: Students residing on campus for Fall 2024 will be automatically approved and charged for both August intersession ($210) and for early arrival ($125) for their fall assignment and transition the week of Aug 5.

Summer I Only:

• Move In: June 9, 2024, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Move Out: July 5, 2024, no later than 7 p.m. 
• Cost: $410  

Note: Students selecting Full Summer are ineligible for Summer I Only. 

Summer II Only:

• Move In: July 7, 2024, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Move Out: August 2, 2024, no later than 7 p.m. (Students not residing on campus for Fall 2023). 
• Cost: $410 

Note: Students residing on campus for Fall 2024 will be automatically approved and charged for both August intersession ($210) and for early arrival ($125) for their fall assignment and transition the week of Aug 5.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Applications for Summer 2024 housing will open March 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. You will be asked to log in with your MSU ID and password. For best consideration, please complete the summer housing application by March 25 at 4:30 p.m.
