Methods of Alert
In an emergency (including weather and safety alerts), Morehead State University will utilize several communication tools and strategies to communicate with the campus community. Depending upon the nature of the announcement, any or all of the following methods may be used:
- Eagle Alerts (email and text notifications through Omnilert); Sign-up is voluntary but is strongly recommended.
- LiveSafe mobile app (email and text notifications)
- Mass campus email
- Campus-wide voicemail
- Posting on the University website, social media and MyMoreheadState
- Radio, TV, and other media outlets, including Morehead State Public Radio
- Campus TV override announcements
- Digital information system/digital signs
- Posted printed notices in residence halls and administrative/academic buildings
