Morehead State University's Small Business Development Centers (MSUSBDC) provide the Commonwealth of Kentucky's entrepreneurs and small businesses with free, high-quality one-on-one management consulting and educational training, along with the business resources needed to maximize their growth in today's intensely competitive global economy. With three centers located throughout Eastern Kentucky, every potential and existing entrepreneur has access to MSUSBDC's wide range of services. 

Management Consulting 

The MSUSBDC offers personalized consulting services for existing and start-up business owners. The consultations are one of our most valuable resources for small business owners because it gives clients the opportunity to address their questions one-on-one with seasoned business professionals.

Counseling is on a one-on-one, confidential basis. Our consultants can assist with a variety of business issues, such as:

Training Workshops

MSUSBDC offers a schedule of training workshops and classes each year for existing and start-up businesses. The workshops vary from large, regional sessions to small classes taught by local business owners. The goal of all of them is to strengthen Kentucky's business community through networking and information disbursement. The Commonwealth has vast resources for existing and potential business owners, and MSUSBDC strives to make access to those resources easy for entrepreneurs. Resources

Each MSUSBDC Center contains a wealth of resources for existing and potential small business owners. In addition to the knowledge of our accomplished staff, each center has publications, manuals and instructional information concerning various business topics available to the public. Although the exact titles vary from center to center, each MSUSBDC center is a good starting point for pre-business research and information on specific topics like accounting or marketing for existing business owners. We also have demographic information, market research, business/industry profiles and sample business plans on file. The MSU/SBDC centers are a great resource for small businesses. If we can’t help you directly, we will know someone who can. After many years of service, our referral network has become very large.
