What you’ll learn in the Agriculture Minor

You learn the basics of animal science, agronomy, crop management and other agricultural areas to give you a solid foundation in agricultural science.

What can I do with an Agriculture Minor?

Knowledge of agricultural practices, procedures and standards gives you an advantage in a wide range of career fields. The minor is a complement to degrees in business, biomedical science, chemistry and others.

What makes morehead state's program different

You’ll get to learn by doing at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex, also called the University Farm, and Browning Orchard in nearby Fleming County. The 325-acre farm includes a large and small animal hospital, greenhouses, barns and livestock showing facilities. The orchard teaches students about large-scale fruit production. Students can even live on the farm in one of two residence halls.

Admission to the Agriculture Minor Program

To enroll in the agriculture minor, you must be an active student at MSU with a chosen major field of study. For full details, refer to the undergraduate catalog.
