Course Requirements

What You’ll Learn in health promotion

Through a combination of lectures, laboratory assignments and practicum requirements, you’ll learn wellness theory and practical skills for improving the health of individuals and the community using behavior change strategies.

What You Can Do with a health promotion Degree

Our program prepares you for a health and wellness education career at places like health departments, wellness programs, YMCAs, healthcare facilities, and area health education centers. You’ll also build essential skills like talking and writing, working well with others, thinking critically, and being professional. If you want, you can continue your education in graduate school.
