The Belmont Report - The Belmont Report summarizes ethical principles and guidelines for research involving human subjects. Three core principles are identified: respect for persons, beneficence, and justice.
The Office for Human Research Protections - The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) provides clarification and guidance, develops educational programs and materials, maintains regulatory oversight, and provides advice on ethical and regulatory issues in biomedical and behavioral research.
The Office of Research Integrity - The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) oversees and directs Public Health Service (PHS) research integrity activities on behalf of the Secretary of Health and Human Services with the exception of the regulatory research integrity activities of the Food and Drug Administration by developing policies, procedures and regulations related to the detection, investigation, and prevention of research misconduct and the responsible conduct of research.
