Tau Sigma Honors Society

Tau Sigma provides its members opportunities to earn scholarships, attend leadership conferences, take leadership positions in the University and serve others at the University and in the community, all while developing friendships and becoming a more integral part of Morehead State.

Morehead State hosts the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Tau Sigma after receiving our charter in 2015. The Zeta Sigma chapter boasts 75 members across all MSU campuses and online.

Member Eligibility

You must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 during your first semester at Morehead State University. Eligible students will be invited to accept membership during their second semester as an Eagle. Membership requires a one-time lifetime membership fee of $50.

Philanthropy

Our main campus students proudly serve as volunteers at a variety of events and activities to benefit the Gateway Homeless Coalition in Morehead. Students attending other campuses and entirely online serve their own communities through civic engagement, leadership and volunteerism.

Past events include Trick or Treat for the Homeless, a bake sale for the homeless at the Morehead Arts & Eats Festival, Christmas cards for long-term care residents, and the new transfer student welcome event held each August.
